Support & Payment Policy

This page explains what each Venture support option means, how AIFT handles contribution payments, what information may be shown publicly, and what you agree to before sending money.

Last updated: September 19, 2026
Important: A Venture contribution is voluntary support. Unless a separate written investment agreement says otherwise, a contribution does not buy shares, ownership, profit rights, repayment rights, or a guaranteed return.

1. Understand each support option

AIFT keeps simple contributions separate from business or investment discussions so users know what action they are taking.

ContributionA voluntary payment to support the Venture. It is not an investment and does not create ownership or profit rights.
GrantAn offer of non-repayable financial support. Any grant terms should be agreed separately between the parties.
SponsorshipAn expression of interest in supporting a project, program, event or milestone. Sponsorship terms are discussed separately.
MentorshipAn offer of experience, advice or professional guidance. No payment is automatically taken for selecting this option.
Pilot opportunityAn offer to test or trial the Venture's product or solution. Commercial terms, if any, are handled separately.
Investment discussionA request to discuss a possible investment. Selecting it does not itself transfer money or create an investment contract.

2. How contribution payments work

You choose an amount.Use a suggested amount or enter your own amount on the Venture page.
You choose whether your name is public.You can appear by name or as Anonymous in the public supporter list.
You review this policy and agree before payment.A Venture contribution order cannot be created until you accept this policy in checkout.
Payment is processed through PayPal or an eligible supported card option.AIFT does not treat the contribution as completed until the payment provider confirms a successful capture.
AIFT records the confirmed contribution.After successful payment confirmation, AIFT updates the Venture funding total and records the transaction.

Current platform limitation: the Venture page records verified contributions, but it does not currently provide a self-service withdrawal or payout tool for Venture owners. Any later release or payout process is handled separately by AIFT and the Venture owner.

3. Public name or Anonymous

Before paying, a contributor can choose whether their identity appears publicly in the Venture supporter list.

  • Public: AIFT may show the contributor's account or organization name, profile image and contribution amount.
  • Anonymous: the public Venture page shows “Anonymous” and does not expose the contributor's profile image or account name.
  • AIFT still keeps the authenticated account identity and transaction record internally for security, moderation, fraud prevention, disputes and legal/compliance purposes.

4. Investment discussions are different from contributions

The “Investment discussion” option is an introduction or expression of interest only. AIFT does not turn a contribution into shares or an investment merely because a Venture is looking for investors.

Any actual investment should be documented separately between the relevant parties, with appropriate due diligence, disclosures, legal documents and professional advice where appropriate.

5. Refunds, cancellations and payment disputes

Do not send a contribution unless you intend to support the Venture. Venture contributions are not automatically refundable through the Venture page.

  • If a payment has not completed, no successful contribution is recorded.
  • If you believe a payment was unauthorized, duplicated, technically incorrect or connected to fraud, contact AIFT support promptly and use any rights available through your payment provider.
  • Any refund request may depend on payment status, the circumstances, applicable law, payment-provider rules and whether funds have already been processed or committed.
  • Chargebacks or payment reversals may cause AIFT to adjust the displayed Venture funding total.

6. Verification, risk and platform safety

AIFT may display verification information about a Venture or linked organization, but verification does not guarantee future performance, business success, repayment or investment returns.

  • Review the Venture information, founder information, documents and funding purpose before sending money.
  • Do not send money outside the platform because someone asks you to bypass the AIFT payment flow.
  • AIFT may review, restrict or investigate activity where fraud, abuse, misleading information, disputes or legal/compliance concerns are reported.
  • Supporters remain responsible for deciding whether a contribution or business discussion is appropriate for them.

7. What you agree to before sending money

By checking the agreement box in AIFT secure checkout and continuing with a Venture contribution, you confirm that:

  • you understand the payment is a voluntary contribution unless a separate written agreement says otherwise;
  • you understand it does not automatically create shares, ownership, repayment rights, profit rights or a guaranteed return;
  • you reviewed the Venture information and selected your public or anonymous display preference;
  • you authorize the selected payment provider to process the amount shown in checkout; and
  • you agree to this AIFT Venture Support & Payment Policy as it appears when you make the payment.
