AIFT travel intelligence

The Philippines,
made clearer.

Island beauty. New connections. A plan for your next chapter. Explore life in the Philippines and prepare for your journey with AIFT.

A place to explore.
A future to prepare for.

From turquoise coastlines to energetic cities, the Philippines offers many ways to begin a new chapter.

Picture weekends beside the sea, discovering local food and finding your rhythm in a new city. Palawan offers dramatic island scenery; Manila brings history and metropolitan life; Cebu blends city energy with access to coastal adventures. Choose your home base around your budget, classes and work prospects, then make time to explore.

Filipino hospitality is part of the country’s appeal. Everyday experiences still vary: people have different backgrounds, and no destination can promise every foreign visitor the same welcome. Be friendly, learn a few local greetings, respect personal boundaries and local customs, and build genuine relationships. Shared meals, language practice and community activities can help you settle in.

Know the essentials.

Practical information organized around the decisions travelers usually need to make before and during a trip.

Money & budget

The Philippine peso is the local currency. Carry some cash for smaller shops and islands, and tell your bank before international card use.

Weather & timing

Conditions vary by region. Build flexibility into island plans and check local forecasts and transport notices close to travel.

Getting around

Domestic flights, ferries, buses, jeepneys and ride services all play a role. Leave sensible connection time between islands.

Explore French–English roles in customer service, technical support and international business operations.

Advertised salary examples
₱70,000–₱95,000

per month · French–English support

Examples reviewed in September 2026 include customer-care roles at ₱70,000–₱80,000, a French/English CSR listing at ₱81,000, and a French customer-service listing at ₱85,000–₱95,000. These are advertised examples, not a guaranteed offer or take-home pay.

AIFT helps members prepare stronger profiles, understand role requirements and discover suitable opportunities inside the AIFT platform.

1

Build professional fluency

Employers may assess both French and English, written communication, customer handling and technical skills. Short language classes help you practise; they do not guarantee bilingual fluency.

2

Match the role to your profile

Location, experience, shifts, language level and the employer’s requirements affect your options. Ask whether advertised pay includes allowances and whether the employer considers foreign applicants.

3

Secure permission before starting work

Visa-free entry is not employment authorization. Confirm the appropriate immigration status and employment permissions with the employer and authorities before accepting a start date. Bureau of Immigration guidance.

Know your entry route.

A clear starting point for Congolese travelers and visitors from other countries.

01

Passport and onward journey

Prepare a passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay and a return or onward ticket that fits your permitted visit. Check airline and transit-country requirements before booking.

02

Purpose, accommodation and funds

Keep your accommodation address, travel plan and evidence of funds available. Give truthful information about your plans. If a visa is required, follow the embassy’s application checklist; additional documents depend on your case.

03

Free official eTravel registration

Register through eTravel within 72 hours before arrival and retain your QR code. The government registration itself is free.

04

Plan the full four months legally

A 30-day entry allowance does not cover the AIFT program’s four months. Arrange the appropriate visa or extensions, and confirm any study permission needed for language classes. Government charges may apply. Review extension guidance.

Entry, extensions, study permission and work authorization are decided by the relevant authorities. AIFT’s service fee does not purchase approval. Confirm the route for your nationality, purpose and course before committing to travel.
AIFT · four-month preparation program

Arrive with a plan.
Build your next step with support.

US$2,500

A four-month support package for people preparing for opportunities in the Philippines. Your service fee supports shared apartment accommodation, English or French classes, paperwork assistance and job-search preparation during those four months.

01

A shared place to settle

Four months in an apartment shared with other participants. Confirm the location, room-sharing arrangement, occupancy and house rules in your written offer before paying.

02

Language and confidence

English or French classes during the program, with a focus on practical communication. Agree on your starting level, class schedule and learning goals before enrollment.

03

Paperwork and career preparation

Help organizing documents and navigating application steps, plus CV preparation, interview practice and assistance finding suitable job opportunities over the four-month period.

How your fee is used: it funds accommodation, teaching and participant support, including document coordination and job-search assistance. It is a bundled service price; request an itemized written offer rather than assuming an unconfirmed allocation to each service.

  • Flights are not included. Pay airfare and airline charges separately.
  • Government fees are separate from the AIFT service fee. Visa, extension, study or employment charges must be identified in your written quote; do not assume they are covered.
  • Confirm meals, utilities, deposits, local transport, insurance, translation costs, payment dates and cancellation/refund terms before paying.
  • Support lasts four months. A job, salary, visa approval or permanent stay is not guaranteed. Keep a budget for your living costs and onward travel.

Come with curiosity and realistic goals. Use these four months to practise, meet people and prepare stronger applications—with a clearer plan for what comes next.

Your journey,
one booking at a time.

Choose a route that fits your approved travel plan and your budget.

Your US$2,500 package does not include flights.

Airfare, baggage upgrades, seat selection and airline change fees are paid separately.

1

Compare the complete trip

Search from your departure airport to Manila or Cebu. Compare total travel time, connections, checked baggage and refund rules—not just the headline fare. Routes from Congo may require connections; check each transit country.

2

Book through a trusted seller

Use the airline’s official website or an established travel agency. Enter your name exactly as it appears on your passport. Check entry and transit permissions before buying a non-refundable ticket.

3

Keep your journey documents

Save your booking reference, payment receipt, onward ticket, accommodation details and eTravel QR code. Confirm airport, terminal, baggage and check-in times directly with your airline.

Airline links are booking starting points, not a promise that a particular route is available. Compare current schedules and transit conditions for your departure city.

1

Check official entry requirements

Rules depend on nationality and can change. Confirm passport, visa and arrival requirements with official Philippine authorities and your airline.

2

Plan connectivity and payments

Prepare roaming or a local SIM/eSIM option, keep offline copies of bookings and carry backup payment methods.

3

Protect the flexible parts

Use appropriate travel insurance, watch weather notices and avoid tight transfers between flights, ferries or islands.

4

Travel with local respect

Dress appropriately for religious sites, ask before photographing people and follow environmental rules in protected areas.

Travel information is general guidance, not an entry guarantee. Always verify current immigration, health, weather and safety information with official sources before departure.
